How long have you worked at Hampton?

A year and a half, it has flown by.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy the fast-paced agency life, no day is ever the same. I find my role as Account Executive really interesting as I get to collaborate with clients from a variety of sectors, all different in the way they work. I've also worked with people across the globe, all working together to deliver high profile project - this gives me a great sense of achievement.

Most importantly, I love the people I work with, they are all fab. In my role I get to work with everyone in the company, which means I learn from the best of the best. It's such a great feeling to be part of such an experienced and talented team, we have a great bond.

What's your background?

I spent five years studying at Robert Gordon University with very little idea of what I wanted to do, or where I wanted to be in the future.

Most of my past jobs have been in hospitality and have been quite similar, other than a stint doing night shift at the hospital during covid. This was an unexpected role but also one of the most enriching experiences I've had; I met a lot of lovely people through a very tough and lonely time. This inspired me to write my dissertation on marketing within the NHS, and I think that was one of my favourite pieces of work from my whole time at university.

How would your team describe you?

Positive, bubbly and a bit nerdy.

What’s the last song you listened to?

Inner Smile, Texas

Coffee or tea?

Coffee (and a Diet Coke - often at the same time!)

What inspired you to pursue a career in a creative agency, and how did you get started in this field?

In all honesty, I was unsure what I wanted to do after I graduated and when I saw the job and thought it sounded interesting so applied. I think I got lucky (with the role and the company). Now I don't know if I'll ever veer away from agency work as its truly won me over.

What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about what account management is all about?

The biggest misconception people have about account management is that it mainly involves dealing with numbers, data and emails. However, this perception is far from the truth. Account management is an exciting and fulfilling role that requires building strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, and serving as a crucial part of their success story. It involves not only managing day-to-day operations but also providing strategic guidance and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver great results. I love it!
