Hi, I’m Cara, I’m a fifth-year school pupil from Robert Gordon's College and I’ve just spent the most amazing three days at Hampton learning about digital marketing, design, and silly TikTok dances.
What has it been like to spend three days at Hampton?
It has been really fun, the people at Hampton are very friendly and welcoming. I have learned a lot from them including their education and work experience, and how they got to where they are now. They also told me what their specific role is in the company and how they deal with their clients.
Over the three days, I have managed to post on Hampton’s social media, analysed the website and social media platforms, I came up with fun content ideas and even researched and picked music for the 2019 animation.
What was your top highlight of the week?
I would have to say that Hampton is an exciting and fun place to work, just like design agencies should be. From work to the team they never fail to make me laugh.
What has been the most important thing you’ve learned?
The most important thing I have learned from Hampton is how creative agencies work and operate. The team that I worked with were nice enough to let me see what clients they deal with and how they make their strategies to do what the client has asked for.
What do you like about digital marketing?
I have always been interested in digital marketing. I especially find interesting how adverts and social media can draw in consumers. I also find interesting how a workplace can connect with its clients to find out what exactly they want the outcome to be, and then create and plan and strategy to complete it.
What would you change and why?
Nothing. My experience at Hampton has been great and such a great learning experience.
What’s next for you?
I will be going back to school in January then possibly heading to North-east Scotland College in Aberdeen in the Fall to study Marketing and PR. Or, I might stay in school and finish my HS Diploma and then go straight to RGU University to study Digital Marketing.
French fry or a chunky chip?
Definitely french fries - they are my favourite and can almost go with any meal.
What was the weirdest thing you saw during your time at Hampton?
Pete doing a TikTok dance challenge in front of everyone.
If you were stuck on a desert island, which Hampton team member would you take and why?
Kara, because she would find a creative fun way to help us get off the island.
Any final words?
Thank you for this amazing, fun experience it has been a great learning opportunity for me.
