Baked with love

Our illustrated brand characters are based on David Goodfellow and Margaret Steven. After meeting while working together in David’s uncle’s bakery in the early 1890s, they fell in love. Their joint passion for baking soon led to the founding of the business and the Goodfellow & Steven bakery was born.

The brand creative was supported by a discovery session that allowed us to make strategic recommendations based on marketplace research and industry insight. Of course, our brand research involved sampling all of the goodies on offer – we thoroughly recommend Goodfellow & Steven's black bun and morning rolls!

The team at Goodfellow & Steven were looking to develop a range of packaging and support marketing and point of sale material that had bags of personality. The result is a bold product range that links the unique history of the business, while capturing the authentic and creative nature of the delicious products. Our two brand characters provide a consistent narrative across the range, presenting a warm and unique personality on the shelf.
