VisitAberdeenshire has worked to strengthen Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire’s position as a highly desired tourist destination. Visitors from all over the world are enticed by the majestic heritage, great outdoors and famous local cuisine in our remarkable region.

We worked alongside VisitAberdeenshire to develop a suite of creative campaigns aimed to promote Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. From “EnjoyABDN”, a campaign designed to target people living in the local region to the “Break Away” campaign that inspired people from further afield to come and explore. The results achieved over 13 million impressions and 92,000 clicks for VisitAberdeenshire.

We worked in partnership with the VisitAberdeenshire team, who led the project, to roll out the campaign from posters, social media assets and targeted digital adverts.

The Spring campaign was awarded the Marketing Magic Award at the 2019 Northern Star Business Awards. The accolade recognised the success the campaign had in driving visitors to the region and growing exposure. The Spring campaign was also delivered in partnership with ScotRail and was displayed across the ScotRail Network in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

VisitAberdeenshire approached Hampton to produce a creative for an engaging campaign that targeted people living in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Encouraging them to find out more about local events and to join in.

The campaign called for people to ‘Enjoy’ everything Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. This core message was supported by authentic imagery and bold typography – all packed with the unique character and personality of the region.

A ballsy Scottish farewell

SPOTY Campaign

In December 2019, BBC Sports Personality of the Year hosted its annual awards in our very own city.

VistAberdeenshire’s brief was to create a humorous farewell message at Aberdeen Airport that was both quintessentially Scottish and create a great shareable moment. We took the bull quite literally by the horns and our Highland coo concept was born. An array of balls were purchased and then punctured, photographed and added to our design seasoned with local Doric to bid them farewell.
