Meet Susan, Our Head Of Design

How long have you worked at Hampton?
14 years (time flies when you're having fun).

Can you share your journey and how you became a designer?
I always enjoyed making things, I also won a competition when I was at academy to design a logo for the local pharmacy. It was a lightbulb moment for me and I've never looked back. I then did a Visual Communications HND at Aberdeen College and at the end of the first year, Hampton scooped me up as an intern. The rest is history.

What excites you the most about working at Hampton?
I love that every day is different and having the ability to create designs that really make an impact for our clients.

If you could collaborate with any famous artist or designer, living or dead, who would it be and why?
Milton Glaser. A true original, he never stopped experimenting with styles and created work that was truly effective and timeless.

If you could have any fictional character as your best friend, who would it be and why?
Superman, I'd never have to deal with delayed flights or airports again.

Hot or iced coffee?
Hot all day long. Black americano - I never thought I would be this person but that's what a career in design will do to you.
