Thinking Louder with Amy Kean
When we invited trailblazer Amy Kean to kick off Thinking Louder 2025, things got a little bit… weird. Watch our interview with her to find out why she believes that's one of the best ways to spark your creativity.
We created Thinking Louder to connect, share and build a network of like-minded professionals in north east Scotland. We wanted space where we could take time to think about the big questions like, where do the best ideas come from? How do we unlock top-tier creativity? What would happen if we worried less and did more?
It seemed obvious that the best person to answer these questions was Amy Kean.
As a weirdo woman from a working class background, I’ve experienced the struggles of being yourself first hand. My entire career has been a relentless fight against boring professional norms; constantly kicking down doors and using my voice to advocate for others.
Amy Kean
Having worked in innovation and strategy roles for global companies like Nando’s, Jean Paul Gaultier and Sony Music, Amy left advertising to focus on teaching and writing full-time. Her first book, The Little Girl who Gave Zero F*cks, became a bestseller and was lauded as a ‘feminist handbook’. Just one part of her tireless DEI work that earned her an induction to the BIMA Hall of Fame.
Amy is the founder and CEO of Good Shout, an extraordinary learning and development company that wants everyone to have a voice, regardless of who they are or where they come from. Good Shout believe that the weirder we allow ourselves to be, the happier and more creative we’ll be as a result.
Watch our interview with her to hear her favourite brands, top tips for brainstorming and why happiness is coming together to celebrate weirdness.
