Daft ideas have taken David Eustace across the globe, to work with some of the world's biggest brands and most famous faces. We took six minutes with him to explore the art of authenticity and how to translate big ideas on a little budget.
At Hampton we’re all about ideas. Big ideas. Small ideas. Even daft ideas. We know David Eustace is a big fan of daft ideas, too. In fact, his career has been shaped by them. So we invited him to share some of them with the Thinking Louder series.
Interesting doesn’t have to be expensive. It just has to be interesting

While working as a prison guard at HMP Barlinne, David followed a daft idea to take up photography. A daft idea that took him to London and New York to work with publications like GQ and Vogue, and brands like Panasonic and Anthropologie.
Now a world-leading photographer, director, creative advisor and curator, David has worked on projects from Hollywood to the Scottish Highlands. His work has been exhibited extensively and in 2015 he became the first photographer to exhibit at The Scottish Gallery.
In his role as Chancellor of Edinburgh Napier University he launched The Chancellor Talk Series, bringing some of the greatest minds to an audience that may otherwise have never had the chance to hear or question them.
