Aberdeen Sports Village first opened in 2009 and has since welcomed a huge array of sports teams from around the world, has hosted global sporting events and has become the training home to Olympic-standard athletes. In 2016, ASV and Hampton joined forces to reinvigorate the brand and its local position to reflect the unique world-class facility and special community culture.
Although ASV was firmly established on the Aberdeen map, it was important go right back to basics on the brand refresh and start with a clean sheet, forget what had been done before and look at everything through fresh eyes. After detailed discovery meetings and brand personality workshops where we got right to the heart of ASV's mission and values, Hampton created the 'Your lifestyle. One village.' strapline, which truly encompassed all that ASV has to offer. Whether you're an aspiring athlete, a student or a family who wants to spend time together while getting healthy, ASV has amazing facilities and offers it all under one roof!
After the brand refresh was unveiled, Hampton developed, and continues to work on a huge number of campaigns and the collateral that accompanies them: internal way finding; exhibition stands; internal graphics; and a membership microsite. The relationship is an open and collaborative one, qualities that mean together we produce some exceptional work.
A brand that continues to flex its muscles
Two years since the refresh, ASV has increased its memberships, while the brand is known across the city and continues to competes in an extremely crowded leisure space. As for the ASV and Hampton's relationship, it goes from strength to strength, and the next project that the team will be collaborating on will be the new Aberdeen Sports Village website which will be live mid-2020.
