When Marathon Handbook approached us we were a little in awe - there’s a few serious (and not so serious) runners here at Team Hampton. One of the world’s biggest running sites, and the world’s biggest running newsletter, reaching out. As always, we embraced the challenge. To cut a long race short, the brand and website hadn’t kept pace with their audience or their ambition.
They know running and we know branding. We studied the competition’s form and what runners wanted from a running site. Marathon has always been accessible. A jargon free zone where runners can get what they want from running. We built on this, delivering an elitist free brand aligned to the running community. And a motivational tone of voice that tells it how it is. Embracing runners at all levels and creating a place where all runners are welcome.
